Google pixel 9 phone, you gotta get one of them!!!!
I loved it!!! But I then noticed a small chip on the back camera lens. I called Amazon and they approved me to send the phone back, even though it was out of the return window from when I got the phone. But I have to return it and only then they will issue me a full refund for the price I paid for it. I agreed, but I thought about it the rest of that day and all night because I have severe medical issues and many doctors appointments and need to be able to contact them as well as they need to be able to get in contact with me. So the next day I continplated about sends it back be they said it would probably take about 30 days to receive my refund. I would be out of a phone that entire time, so I 🤙 Amazon back and said that I would keep the phone and cancel the return. They gave me a gift card for the damage, but it wasn’t much. Now I have another issue about the phone. The screen keeps turning off as I am using it. I was paying my bills and it would go off and I would have to go back to the beginning and put in my pin so I could use it again. Now what do I do??? I’m back in the same spot I was just like before. I shouldn’t have to deal with this especially after I finally got it paid off. A $700 phone shouldn’t be doing this. I don’t know why Amazon couldn’t let me keep the phone until I get my money back, then I could send the phone back to them. And in this meantime, I could decide if I want to get the same phone or look at some other options. Or if my money has been refunded into my bank account, I can still use the problem phone to get a new one from them and they can let me use it while I am waiting for the new phone to be delivered to me. That way I won’t miss any phone calls or make calls. Also, I can continue to talk and text my family and answer the texts that my many doctors offices send me to remind me of an upcoming appointment and confirm that appointment. Anyway, that said, I still love the phones and all the things I can do with it. Since it’s a Google pixel 9 , Google creates nice things using my videos and photos and does so because they add background music that actually fits perfectly as I am watching my videos and looking at my photos. They even do that with photos and videos that they had stored for me over the years. IT’S GREAT!!! So fellow Amazon customers… don’t change your mind if you were thinking about buying one of those phones because it is just a fluke that I got a misfit one. Believe me, you gotta get one of these phones because it has so many things you can do on it and you will love what Google does with your memories. It’s AWESOME what they do to make it so much fun to be looking at your photos and watching videos to the background music they add. It’s so much fun!!!! You gotta get one of those phones, you won’t regret it. Believe me on this.

The Pixel 9 is a good value mid-range phone
I purchased the Pixel 9 in August. I had a Pixel 6A. To tell you the truth I was very happy with that phone. Alas, there were serious battery safety issues with it. Google issued a mandatory update & it severely throttled the battery. After that update the battery wouldn’t charge to 100% & would run out of juice only after a few hours. I got a free battery upgrade, but it didn’t help much.Anyway, on to the Pixel 9 review. I’m very happy with this phone. There are a few things to be chalked up as a learning curve, but it’s very similar to my old 6A. Many people have complained about the black bezel around the perimeter of the screen. I have a case on my phone to protect it . Truthfully, I don’t even notice the bezel. It’s covered by the case. You probably wouldn’t notice it either. There is a Pixel app that gives you a whole bunch of tips on how to maneuver around the phone. It’s very helpful.I’m basically am not a fan of all this AI stuff so I turned off as much as I could. Haha, pretty funny & ironic for a me to get a phone that runs pretty much on AI! Lol! I have to say the phone runs great. I feel it’s very user friendly. If you have a problem or question about it’s operation, you can always Google the question & there’s plenty of help out there. Initially, I was leaning towards purchasing the less expensive 9A. However, for some folks there were issues that they experienced with the initial boot up during set-up that wouldn’t allow the phone to escape the boot up loop, & unfortunately had to return it. I didn’t want that hassle. I kept my eyes open looking for a better price. Luckily I saw this listed for $599 on a special sale & I pulled the trigger & bought it. I’m so happy I did. I’m very happy with this phone so far. To me, it’s way faster than my old phone. It has 12 gigs of RAM. I’m not really a gamer. I play Pokémon go on it with no problems at all. The battery size is 4700MAh. It lasts all day & longer depending on usage. I’ve noticed that the display is a lot brighter. It can go up to 2,700 nits when outside. There are many additional features that are useful. It has a crash detector in case you’re in a car accident. It’ll notify 911 (if you set that feature up) it’s similar to OnStar. Another great feature is that it has the ability for you to contact 911 via satellite. This is useful if you’re in an area that has no cell phone reception & experience an emergency. The features keep coming, it has it’s own VPN for free. The camera (which is also very nice) there’s a lot of neat things, too many to write down. There’s editing tools like unblur & more. Overall this is a really good phone. I’ve had no problems with it. If you need a great mid-range phone, you should really consider purchasing the Pixel 9.

Just right for me.
Got this pixel 9 for several reasons. Firstly it was one of a few phones that would provide 2 way communication with my oticon hearing aids, secondary was picture quality, and thirdly was $200.00 off regular price Works absolutely great with the hearing aids and picture quality is very good. I’m an elderly male who isn’t a heavy user of a phone. For me it’s a convenience item. I find myself using it more everyday because it’s easy to understand and use, Build quality is great. I always use a screen protector and hard case just because life happens.

It’s a decent phone
I loved the prime day deal price on this phone that easily saved a couple hundred dollars. It seems to function well for the most part, but so far (1-2 months in), the screen seems to be frozen and not responsive to where my fingers are touching (this could be a simple app issue, but it’s happened on different apps). The color is cute. I’m not sure how I feel about it being shorter than my previous phone (6), but it’s not enough of a difference for a negative reaction. No issues transferring most of the apps and data from prior phone, but I lost some photos that didn’t get transferred over. No issues entering my old sim card. Seems to charge fast and battery lasts a good while. It was new so in good condition, no problems with fingerprint reader. I’ve dropped it a few times without problems (might have a different outcome if I didn’t have a case on it). Sound and brightness are good.

Good phone
So far I have been happy. I’ve been a Samsung user but the quality of my last Samsung phone was not good. This actually charges better and faster on my wireless charger base. I like the screen, and like that there are fewer bloatware apps than Samsung. It also costs about half of a comparable Samsung phone.

Just what I wanted
Bought this to replace my old Pixel 4a. It’s a little bigger, but no too much. Materials are great, compared to my previus one, this one is a luxury. With “normal” use, I get more than a day of battery life.So far, very pleased with this phone.

Fantastic phone!
I love this phone! It easy to use. And best of all, it gets all the android updates first before any other android non Google phone.

Previous versions were better. Disappointed
This is my third Pixel phone and my least favorite by far. Technically my 4th Pixel as I did purchase a Pixel 8a I believe but sent it back as I disliked it too much to even use it. The 2XL and 6 were great devices that were quick and took incredible photos. The Pixel 9 is slow, glitchy, and the camera leaves a lot to be desired compared to its predecessors. I’m not getting into specs, but talking about actual functionality. There are some aspects that I thought I’d like to utilize, like wireless charging, but I’ve yet to use that feature and would absolutely give that up for a phone more comparable to previous models. One of my biggest complaints about the newer Pixels is the square/flat design on the edges. It definitely gives more of an iPhone feel and I dislike that. Other brands are also leaning into this style, which is disappointing, as I prefer the smooth, rounded feel on the sides, especially when using the side buttons.I’ve had the phone for several months now and while I won’t be changing it anytime in the near future, this will likely be my last Google Pixel phone unless something significantly changes.I sat down to write this review after attempting to take photos of some recently received curtain ties I wanted to review, and I couldn’t get decent pics in either room (one faces north, the other south, so different lighting conditions). Sure, I could probably adjust the settings and get a better quality photo, but in my previous models, the automatic adjustments were perfect.I recently got a compliment on a photo taken with my Pixel 2, and I couldn’t recreate the quality with this much newer device.Selfies regularly flip after being taken, despite having the “show selfies as previewed” option enabledConnectivity – WiFi is glitchy. I have the same equipment used with my Pixel 6 and this phone drops my Wi-Fi connection far more often than the other phone did. Other devices will be connected with no problem and this one will just randomly disconnect then reconnect. I haven’t traveled to low signal areas yet so I cannot attest to how strong the signal is in those settings.I like the green color of the phone, but it has a case on it, so it’s kind of irrelevant. The fingerprint reader is inconsistent as well. Sometimes no matter what I do, it will not recognize any of my fingers and I have to enter my passcode. There have been several instances over the past few months where I’ve had to manually power off the device because it froze up. Twice I had instances where a call wouldn’t end and completely froze the device. I had to use another device to look up how to turn it off when the power button did nothing.I’m only willing to hard reset a phone so many times to troubleshoot, ya know? When it keeps doing the same thing and I have to go through the process of reinstalling apps and signing into everything, it’s just not worth it at some point and you live with the glitchiness. If I didn’t have a Pixel watch too, I’d probably consider trading it in for a different Android device and if this were my first pixel there’s no way I’d consider another when it’s time to upgrade.

Speaker Popping/Crackling on occasion.
Phone looks new. Packaging looked new.No complaints other than occasionally, when I tap the back button and it plays the associated tapping sound, the speaker pops/crackles loudly. I’m worried the speaker could fail or be faulty. Or it could be a software/sound issue.
